The American Craft Beer Field Guide

As part of Gear Patrol's developing publishing strategy, we decided to supplement our spring/fall magazine with a smaller, single-topic summer/winter "field guide" that dived deeper into a topic relevant to our audience. The initial publication in the summer of 2017 was a Guide to American Craft Beer, hinging on a ranking of America's 25 best breweries. I was responsible for both direction and execution of the photography for the 64-page field guide. Though it was a fairly narrow project in scope, it provided welcome experience in start-to-end publishing of a smaller-format magazine produced on a significantly shorter timescale than our normal magazine.
